Egg Snatch V1.1

Egg Snatch is an arcade style, dance pad game designed specifically for exercise.

Rules

The game is pretty simple; the weasels are trying to take eggs from the baskets and the chickens have to move the baskets away fast enough so that the weasels can't get them. You control the chickens with the dance pad/keyboard ( look below for more info ). If the weasel grabs an egg from the basket your lives go down by 1. Once your lives go down to 0 the game ends. If you have the highest score your name goes into the hall of fame.

Controls

You can use the mouse, keyboard, or dance pad to navigate any menu.

Inside the game, use the Dance Pad buttons or the Numpad keys to control the chickens. The following tables have a detailed mapping:

Dance Pad Buttons

For certain PS2/XBOX to USB adapters you have to configure your dance pad to be in dance pad mode every time you unplug it and plug it into your computer. You have to hold START-UP-SELECT all at the same time for 3 seconds. Otherwise the game will not work correctly.

Dance Pad to Key Mapping

NOTE: You only need to read this section if your dance pad doesn't map correctly in the game.

The mapping between the dance pad and the computer joystick buttons depends on the USB adapter that is used. Egg Snatch by default is configured for a straight USB connection, meaning that no adapter is used. However we have provided a joystick mapping utility to map your particular dance pad and adapter to the game. The utility is called Joystick Mapper.

You can get to it by going to Start->All Programs->Egg Snatch->Joystick Mapper. Go through each function and map a joystick button to it.
To get you started:
  1. Click on "change button" that is to the left of 'Top Left', you will see a red box with "Press Button" light up
  2. Now hit a button on the dance pad that you want to behave like the top left button - 'X' in most cases. As soon as you hit the dance pad button it should change to the button number that your computer sees it as.
  3. Go through and keep doing that to all the buttons/functions.
When you are finished mapping all the buttons hit the save button and then hit the quit button to exit. If you want to restore your joystick mapping to the original default setting, hit the default button, then save, and then quit.

Restart Egg Snatch for new mapping to take effect.
